Singapore is my happy place because it is a home filled with love, friendship, and joy.

In the centre of my artwork, the hands holding each other represent friendship, kindness, support, and unity. Although we may come from different cultures and backgrounds, we can respect and help one another.

The Singapore buildings and flag around the hands represent the place where I live and grow. The different cultural patterns show the rich and colourful cultures that make Singapore special.
Through this artwork, I want to show that happiness comes not only from a place, but also from the people around us.
To me, Singapore is my Happy Place.

This is Me

Dai Shi Tian

This is a self-portrait about who I am and the place that has shaped me.
I live in Singapore, a country filled with warmth, love, and joy. People here come from different cultures and backgrounds, yet we learn to respect, support, and care for one another. Growing up in such an environment has influenced the way I see the world and the values I carry with me.

Singapore is not only the place where I live, but also where I grow, learn, and make friends. Through my everyday experiences, the people around me have taught me to be kind, positive, open-minded, and willing to help others.
Therefore, this self-portrait represents more than just my appearance. It represents the experiences, relationships, and environment that have shaped the person I am becoming.

This is me—a child growing up in a diverse and caring community, carrying the warmth of Singapore with me as I continue to discover the world.

Ocean Giants & Tinny Wonders

Chin Xing Ting

This is a mysterious kingdom hidden deep beneath the sea. Guided by a gentle giant whale, I travelled through the deep ocean and entered a world filled with unknown wonders.

Here, time seems to have stopped. Abandoned buildings rest quietly on the ocean floor, while old shipwrecks are covered with coral and seaweed, as if they are keeping secrets from a forgotten world. Sitting on the whale’s back, I explore this mysterious place, wondering what might appear around the next corner.

Colourful jellyfish drift peacefully through the water, glowing like tiny lights in a dream. Strange and beautiful sea creatures swim between the sunken buildings and shipwrecks, making the whole underwater world feel magical and alive.
There are no sounds from the busy world above—only the whale’s gentle song, the movement of the water, and the creatures swimming freely around me.

I do not know how many secrets this deep ocean holds, but with the whale by my side, I am not afraid of the unknown. This journey is more than an adventure; it is a magical dream world that belongs to me.

My Happy Place

Caleb Kerk Yi

In this artwork, I use reflections in the water to show people of different skin tones and ethnic backgrounds living together in Singapore. Although we may have different cultures, languages, and traditions, we all share the same home. To me, Singapore is more than just a place where I live—it is my happy place.

The reflections represent the diverse communities that make Singapore special. We respect one another, celebrate our differences, and live together in harmony. Our diversity brings colour and energy to our shared home.

The flower petals surrounding the scene symbolise the children of Singapore. Like flowers slowly blooming, they represent our dreams, hopes, and bright futures. Each petal is different, but together they create a beautiful garden, just as each child contributes something special to our community.

Through this artwork, I want to show that happiness comes from feeling accepted, safe, and connected to the people around us. Singapore is my happy place because it is a home where different people can grow, dream, and flourish together.

My Magic Garden

Anna Tan Hsuan

Deep within a distant forest lies a mysterious and magical kingdom. Unlike ordinary forests, this one is filled with shades of pink and brilliant colours, as if it were a world that exists only in a dream.

This is my dream home.
A golden dragon lives deep within the forest, and it is my very special friend. Whenever I play my violin among the trees, the gentle melody echoes through the forest. The golden dragon dances gracefully to the rhythm of my music, joining me in the colourful forest as we share wonderful moments together.

There is no noise from the outside world here—only music, colours, and a magical world that belongs to me.
